If you’re here, you probably know of my love of the Broadway musical Legally Blonde. What you probably might not know of is my favorite song in that musical. Now. As a whole that musical has some bangers and a pretty exhilarating jump rope scene.
Irette- Thanks for sharing this. I must've been living under a rock because I didn't even know that they have a Legally Blonde musical. Last I checked they were making all sorts of live-action everything and musical everything---so I guess this makes sense! How did you feel it compares to other Broadway musicals? My personal favorite is still Phantom and Wicked.
Legally Blonde has a cult following. I found it during lockdown. Turns out MTV made a pro shot of the Broadway musical which is a reason for its popularity. Also, the junior version of the show is popular in high schools. It's regularly produced by regional theatres. The sets are minimal and the cast is heavily female which makes it easier to cast. I'm not a Phantom fan, but love Wicked, to give you an idea of my taste in musicals. Legally Blonde did way better over in the UK than here. When viewed as a period piece, it works. The musical leans more into the romance than the movie.
